Wildcrafted River Grape Leaves

Ever think about making Dolmades? I have been thinking about harvesting the river grape leaves that grow in my tree line for years. I have decided that, since a couple of the vines are sprawling out over our compost piles, now is the time. 

This is wild, so you may notice a little bit of damage here and there, but overall, they are perfectly fine leaves for rolling up your little packages. We are feeling our way along with this one, so these leaves may be with us for a week or the rest of the season.  Who knows? 4-5 inch leaf span. Limited while we are figuring things out.
