Busy Busy Bud Flute

The idea of adding a foot , increasing height, lifting the body of the piece, has had my attention this winter, and this small, quite rustic vase is one of the first. I love the color show on this piece, but it is so much variety and layering that the color affected the overall uniformity of the piece. As I am about the color, I do not find small distortions to be a big problem. There is lots of perfect glass out there. I find my happy place in thinking of it as a collaborative effort, not necessarily pushing my will all that strongly, especially in the middle of learning a new technique. Still, with the gift of a sunny afternoon, it has been putting on lovely shows while sitting on my kitchen windowsill. 8" tall x 3" at belly, 1", irregular opening.
